Steiff Paddington with Boots EAN 690310

Type: Steiff

On October 13th, 1958, Michael Bond introduced the world to Paddington, through his first publication, of what would become many 'A Bear called Paddington', illustrations by Peggy Fortnum.

Since then more books, television and a much acclaimed film have reignited the twinkle in Paddington's eye, propelling him forward into movie stardom and a new generation of fans.

The newest addition to become a Steiff Paddington, resembles his 'film' persona, as do the most recent releases since 2014, but with one difference ... this version wears a pair of red boots!

Paddington TM Bear is 28cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a decadent chestnut mohair, with a contrasting cream muzzle and wool felt paws. He has enigmatic, two tone brown, glass eyes with a kissable smart stitched nose and mouth. As always, he wears his red wool felt bush hat, as a constant reminder of his heritage, Peru and dear Aunt Lucy, along with his blue duffle coat, with pockets, wooden toggles and a beige tartan lined hood (gifted to him from The Browns). His all important label is never far and resides, firmly around his neck "Please look after this Bear. Thank You".

Now for those boots ...these were originally created in order to give the plush Paddington Bear of the 1970's the ability to stand freely. The Bears were created by Gabrielle Designs who held the world exclusive rights to Paddington, up until 1976. Since then, the boots have long been associated with the traveller from Darkest Peru. Steiff have chosen the traditional red for their Paddington and they look just fabulous!.

This UK and North American Exclusive, is a Limited Edition of just 2,000 Bears and will come to you boxed, with his numbered, certificate of authenticity.
